The issues are not just in the tissues – at Real-ease Massage Therapy & Treatments we uphold the World Health Organisation definition of health as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
Our goal is always to improve the overall quality of life of our clients, and we undertake continuous professional development so you can be assured of the highest standards of care. We are registered with the largest professional association for complementary therapists, the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), which ensures our standards of practice and training.
We take a ‘fix in six’ approach to achieving a reduction in your symptoms or pain caused by musculoskeletal issues. Depending on the severity of your problem and how long you have lived with it, we would expect to see you once a week for up to six weeks, before moving you onto a maintenance care routine.
Whether you’re struggling with a bad back, dodgy knee, regular headaches, a clicky shoulder or a stiff neck, we will get to the root cause of the problem and provide a treatment plan that is tailored to you using our toolbox of treatments.
Online assessment and self-care sessions are also available for those clients unable to travel to our clinic in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.
I kept getting a tingling feeling down the left-hand side at the back of my neck, saw Kerryanne twice and already the tingling has gone. Continuing to go once a month now to get those knots out of my shoulders and neck. I highly recommend Kerryanne, she uses a variety of methods to tailor the therapy just for you.
I've been visiting Kerryanne for many years now and couldn't recommend her enough. She has a huge range of treatments for whatever is most appropriate at the time, and I have always felt very comfortable and relaxed. She is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled and has a genuine care for your progress.
Best massage I have ever had. Really holistic approach and thorough assessment of my needs specific to me. Kerry made me feel completely at ease. Already booked in for my next appointment and can't wait to go.
Fantastic - I thoroughly recommend. I was so surprised how stress-relieving the Indian head, back and shoulder massage made me feel, having never tried it before, I now look forward to my regular monthly session. Totally impressed with the high-quality treatments, knowledge, expertise, and personal service at Real-Ease.
WOW! Kerryanne is magic. There is no other way to describe her. I've suffered with shoulder issues for 8 months. Physio hasn't touched it. After just ONE session with Kerryanne, I can finally get both hands on my hips again (necessary when you have three young children!). Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Has running left you with knee pain? Are you struggling to lift weights or sleep on your side due to shoulder pain? Are you having regular headaches or have problems moving your neck?
Whether you’re an aspiring athlete, an avid gardener or an office computer worker massage can help.
Depending on your needs different techniques are used including trigger point work, hot stones, frictions, and myofascial release work.
Acupuncture involves fine needles being inserted into the skin to stimulate specific points. It has been used in China for more than 3,000 years, and within the NHS it is used to treat chronic (long-term) pain, tension headaches and migraines. It can also be used to treat conditions including joint pain, irritable bowel syndrome and vertigo/dizziness. Illness and injury (mental and physical) occur when our flow of Qi (life energy) is blocked. Acupuncture aims to restore Qi meaning it can have emotional as well as physical benefits.
Reflexology is a relaxing treatment carried out on the feet dating back to ancient Egypt. It has been used to help combat insomnia, arthritis pain, menstrual and digestive issues, and anxiety, because it is a holistic (whole body) treatment. Our feet have tiny reflex points which are mirror images of our entire body’s internal organs and structures. These are linked via the nervous system, and when these reflex points are stimulated using specific massage techniques, blockages and imbalances are released encouraging the body to heal.
KORE (Kinaesthetic Optimum Recovery Enhancement) therapy provides a complete holistic (whole body) treatment plan through a mix of traditional Chinese medicine and Western techniques to treat the root cause of your issue, not just your symptoms. KORE looks at why you have symptoms and recognises that skin issues can be linked to digestive issues, knee pain can stem from pelvic imbalances, and lower back pain can be linked to a neck restriction. Treatment techniques include muscle testing, fire cupping, stomach massage (Amno Fu) and many more.
A Rossiter structural release workout takes place with you on the mat fully clothed and you are in charge of how hard you work. You will be taken through a series of assisted stretch techniques which work to release your connective tissue, so the body’s structures are no longer squeezed, bulged, or trapped. These powerful movements can improve your mobility, flexibility, and provide sometimes instant relief from lower back pain, jaw pain, foot and ankle pain, golfer’s or tennis elbow, knee pain or hip pain.
